Thank you for choosing me for your upcoming session. I look forward to capturing your little one at this important milestone in their life. Please find below information regarding your upcoming baby session.
The session will last about an hour and is done in my studio in Maple Ridge. I often book sessions back to back due to the busy nature of my schedule so please kindly try your best to be on time. If you are running more than 10 minutes late for your appointment please kindly call so I can inform the next client to show up a little later if need be.
I kindly ask that everyone wears a mask when entering the studio. I have hand sanitizer available upon entry and do require that everyone sanitizes their hands. Once the family portion of the session is done, I kindly ask that any older siblings be taken out of the studio so that I can focus on baby alone without distractions.
I have lots of beautiful outfits at our disposal for your baby to wear during the session so there is no need to bring anything with you unless you want your baby to wear a special outfit of their own for the family photo
If you wish to have a couple of family shots at the start of the session please come dressed ready so that we can start with the family shots first. Please avoid wearing bright colours and busy patterns. Keep outfits simple and complimentary to one another.
Please bring plenty of snacks, milk, water and familiar toys to keep your baby happy during the shoot. Most babies get tired after about 45 mins into the shoot so please try to ensure your baby has a good nap before you come to the studio.
Some babies suffer from separation anxiety (especially around one year) and can become emotional during the session. If this happens we will take a 5 min cuddle break and then will get back to it. I am also noticing that with the pandemic, some babies have not been ‘socialized’ with other people and different environments and may suffer from ‘stranger danger’ especially because I’ll be wearing a mask. Anything you can do with your baby leading up to the session to help minimize the anxiety of being in a strange place will help immensely with the session.
I will do my very best to get your baby to look at me and smile for the camera but not every baby will smile. To ensure great eye contact I kindly ask that the parents don’t try to help making funny noises or faces off to the side of me, otherwise your baby will look at you and not at me.
The remaining payment is due at the time of your session and can be made by etransfer (please refer to your invoice on how to pay).
If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact me prior to your scheduled baby session. I look forward to meeting you.
